This 3 Day Rwanda Gorilla safari takes you to Volcanoes National Park for mountain gorilla trekking. The scenery in the shadow of the Volcanoes is one of the most breathtaking in Africa. First, trek through local villages and lush rain forests, with a breathtaking reward at the end: Finding your self in the gorilla family. If time allows, have a community walk.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Volcanoes National Park
Arrive at the Kigali International Airport. You will meet our safari guide and after a briefing session, transfer to Kigali for a city tour. Visit the genocide memorial museum, the Nyabugogo market, handicraft shops, the Moslem quarter in Nyamirambo and the Franco-Rwanda cultural centre. Have lunch and then transfer to Parc National des Volcans.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast at the lodge, report at 0730hrs to the Parc National des Volcans Headquarters in Kinigi office for registration and formalities with parked lunch, Then drive on the edge of Parc National des Volcans. Briefing by the park’s guides on how to behave once in presence of the Gorillas, Thereafter enter the park for Gorilla tracking. Your trek will vary in length and will commence at about 2000 meters of altitude in the upper slopes of the Volcanoes. Soon you enter the forest. After locating your assigned group you will spend one hour in their company while taking their photos before retracing your steps down the volcanoes. If time allows, have a community walk.
