Rwanda will hold the tenth annual Kwita Izina gorilla naming ceremony on 1 July 2014 at the Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi. This year, 18 baby mountain gorillas will be named as part of ongoing conservation efforts to protect Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas. The event will bring together over 5,000 residents of Musanze District as well visitors from all over the world under the theme ‘A Decade: Conserving-Empowering-Growing’.
