For those tourists who have gone gorilla trekking in Rwanda, might have come from across the legendary mountain gorilla called the silverback cants bee. This has been one of the most outstanding male mountain gorillas. This silver back disappeared from his group in late February after there were serious signs of weakness. Following massive searches by the one of the staff from Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund staff, there are no trace which can be found regarding the silverback gorilla. However, on May 12, Fossey Fund trackers spotted a partially decomposition of this silverback body in a river. The daily patrols however arranged for the removal and transportation of the remaining of this silverback and it was taken to examination. The examination of the body was led by one of the staff of Dian Fossey Staff. The most critical part which was taken was the teeth. There was no thorough examination since the staff concluded that the body of cants bee will take place for final verification.
By the time of the Cantbee disappearance, he was thirty eight (38) years old. This means that, he had already passed the life expectance for a mountain gorilla. During the birth of Cantsbee, it was first seen by Dian Fossey. This silverback had been observed during its lifespan by the successor of Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. This mountain gorilla broke a lot of records during his life span. These included leading the largest group of the gorillas which have ever been observed and remaining dominant for the longest reign ever recorded. Silverback Cantsbee was most known for his unique personality and behaviors. He had very strong relationships with other mountain gorillas and he was given respect by other mountain gorillas. The respect given was in form of leadership. Luck enough, the genes and influence of Cantbee will be felt for quite a long period of time.
Additionally, Cantbee helped to raise Gicurasi who was his son. The mother left this group while he was still very young. This therefore meant that Cantsbee was caring to his son. He was also very gentle and gentle to other gorillas, as well as to us human observers. During his lifespan, he was a protective gorilla who rarely entered fights. He used to protect females while another silverback was fighting. Cantbee was indeed a real commander. Following the words of the Didier Abavandimwe who is a research assistant, he had this to say; Ever since he saw Cantsbee in 2009 he rarely initiated conflicts and on the centrally, he used to end very serious between other gorillas. He was very peaceful and because of this, he was impressed by the long tenure of Cantbee since she was a dominant silverback is such a large group. Cantsbee has been monitored and studied throughout his entire life and his legacy shall live on among the gorillas and human beings who have ever sighted this mountain gorilla. This is because, Cantbee will touch all the lives of both the gorillas and human beings in the most wonderful way.
