24 Gorillas Named at Kwita Izina Gives More Hope to Gorilla Tourism

A few months ago Rwanda named twenty four baby mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park an event which stimulated Rwanda gorilla tourism in the whole world. Rwanda its self expects to receive more tourists taking gorilla safaris in 2016 and the years to come because the ceremony will always be celebrated. The birth of baby mountain gorillas increase the number of gorillas in different habituated gorilla families a thing which will excite gorilla tracking tourists even more. Besides if particular gorilla families become bigger, there are high chances that they may separate hence creating more gorilla permits for tourists in Rwanda each day. For while gorilla tracking as always been Rwanda’s prime attraction which attracts increasing numbers of foreign tourists every year.

The good news was celebrated by thousands of people both local and international including students, soldiers, villagers and diplomats who gathered in Kinigi north Rwanda to celebrate the threatened population of mountain gorillas, whose image titivates various sculptures in Rwanda as well as a national currency banknote. The youth wearing gorilla costumes and rubber boots represented the 24 baby gorillas whose families had to be monitored even more to ensure that they are well habituated a process done by both researchers and trackers for conservation purposes. During the event the youth dressed in gorilla costumes entertained the crowd by copying exactly how baby gorillas behave which put a smile of every ones face showing that Rwanda is a land of bestowed attractions-the mountain gorillas.

The gorilla naming event which started in 2005 give great hope to the Rwanda government as a base and highlight for Rwanda travel industry not only at the local level but also international. The Rwanda locals became more polished on the usefulness of mountain gorillas to the country a situation which promote more conservation of mountain gorillas in the country as well as promoting gorilla travel across the globe. The community believe that mountain gorillas benefit them and if respected they will even benefit them more through education, healthy life, clean water and other community benefits without forgetting job opportunities in the area. The big turn up number for the celebration pleased the Rwanda President and he thanked the crowd for being part of mountain gorilla protection.
