Volcanoes Park view Lodge is Private Rwandan owned facility located on a panoramic angle of the five peaks of the Virunga Volcanoes in northern Rwanda. This unique style of Eco lodge is placed on a strategic landscape in the foothills of the Mount Bisoke and Karisimbi, one of the volcanic mountains that make up the Virunga Massif.

The lodge is about 5 minutes to the park ranger station and on about 10 minutes’ drive to the main entrance of the Volcanoes National Park where gorilla trekking starts. It is placed in an area of around 3 hectares and due to its privacy, it has only 8 spacious chalets in a form of your own natural house.

The staffs are trained in cocktail making and take delight in showing you their skills. Sit back, switch off and enjoy a drink at our bar.

Guests love to relax in our living room which is a downstairs area that has a sided fireplace, book library, as well as great selection of old wines and beverages. There is also a crafts shop next to the Living room with local handicrafts, Gorilla masks, fabrics, clothes and a large selection of souvenirs from around Rwanda

Set back on the small hill of “Rushubi” which means stinging nettle, the name given to this place as it used to be lots of nettles and this is a part of the gorilla food as well as humans.The lodge is located few meters to the Volcanoes national park and that is why we shall point a finger at the park boundary.

Getting There

In Musanze follow the sign towards the Volcanoes National Park. It is about 11 km from Musanze town towards the volcanoes.

You will get to a small town center called Kinigi on around 9 km from Musanze town and proceed another 3 Km you will follow the sign post-Volcanoes Park View Direction.
