Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival at Kanombe airport in Kigali, you will be welcomed by the company representative, who will take you in a hotel for refreshments, before driving a scenic drive to Ruhengeri, in North West of the country. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla view hotel (Luxury)/ La Palme Hotel (Mid Range)/ Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Adventure
This is the day you will go for the memorable tracking of the gorillas in the forest. Gather at the park headquarters by 8:30am for briefing about the dos gorilla safarisand don’ts while with the gorillas, before proceeding to the forest for the trek in search of the amazing apes. This may take 2-7 hours before encountering the gorillas, depending on their movements. Meet and stay with the gorillas for one hour, and later descend the slopes, where the guide will drive you to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, have a nature or cultural walk for entertainment. Dinner and overnight stay. (Day 1).
Day 3: Dianne Fossey/Golden monkey Tracking
On this day, you will either hike up to Dian Fossey grave, where an American primatologist was buried after dedicating her live in conserving the endangered mountain Gorillas. Learn more about her works and life of the gorillas. Or, you will go for golden monkey tracking in the forest. You will encounter other primate species along the trails as long as a variety of bird species and butterflies. On descent, you will transfer to Kigali, reaching n the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel (Luxury)/ Manor Hotel (Mid range)/ Chez Lando Hotel (Budget).
Day 4: City Tour and departure.
In the morning, you will go for a city tour where you will visit the Genocide memorial museum, the national museum, the first house, and others. You will later be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
